Last weekend I presented at two conferences, Midwest Tech Forum and PodcampNYC. Both events were excellent! I met with educators and bloggers from across the US to discuss FreeReading, as well as a wealth of other free resources on the web for educators. Over the next few weeks I will post links to the new sites I learned about as I have time to explore them! Don’t you love coming back from conferences both energized and filled with new ideas?!
As promised at the conferences, below are links to my Podcamp PPT and two resources sheets that contain links to education and literacy sites on the Internet, as well as tips for starting your own blogs and wikis.
- PodCampNYC PPT: Using Open Source Early Literacy Curricula in your Classroom and at Home with Young Children
- Top 20 Teacher Resources and Blogs
- Tools for starting your own education wikis and blogs
PS If you are interested in learning more about how to integrate technology into your curricula, I strongly suggest you take a look at the speaker presentation handouts from Midwest Tech Forum. They are a GREAT resource.
